The Virtual Nation™
The Virtual Nation™ got its roots from a fairly new virtual assistant seeking to share resources with her community. Michelle Ulrich was a budding VA with few colleagues in her area. She wanted to start a lunch group where VAs could meet, talk 'shop,' and share.
People from various businesses began attending the meetings and found they had something in common with the other participants...working in a virtual environment, oftentimes, never meeting their clients and in great need of a community that understood their unique way of life and business.
As the community evolved, Michelle Ulrich, decided to launch a company to support its growth, thus The Virtual Nation™ was officially born. With Michelle as president, and active member of her Virtual Assistant community, she recently decided to take the company in a new direction with a focus on building a virtual village, with a more global community. New programs, services, and resources, in addition, to infusing lots of fun and passion to the group are among the many changes on the horizon.
More About Michelle Ulrich
Michelle Ulrich is a self-starter and there's no better way to illustrate this fact than to mention her journey as a businesswoman, entrepreneur and Virtual Assistant. She launched three Virtual Assistant businesses in under four years. The first business was a sole proprietorship, the second was an LLC, and the third was an S-Corporation.
During this same time she served as both Vice President and Newsletter Chair of her local chapter of the American Business Women's Association, Foundation Chair for the Sacramento eWomen Network group, Leader for both her daughter's Girl Scout troops, and still had time to mentor other new VAs thinking of getting into the field.
Currently, Michelle focuses on her own Virtual Assistant practice where she specializes in assisting business and life coaches who want to grow their business and still have a life of their own. Michelle is also gearing up for another speaking opportunity where she will present the topic of Virtual Assistance to educators in Vienna, Austria in July 2007. If that isn't enough, she is launching her own Virtual Assistant certificate program for Shasta Community College in the fall of 2007. Keep an eye out for this busy gal as she is always willing to lend a gracious hand whenever needed in her Virtual Assistant community.
